I am using a gateway mx7515 and when i install the 64bit version of vista everything works fine except for my sound. I went to the gateway website to find a driver but they only support xp. The type of sound card is a Conexant and i've gone to their website but don't see anything that helps.

Gateway MX7515 Sound card not working
You need to ask Gateway and Conextant for drivers, they are the ones who will make and distribute them if they feel their customers need the drivers.

Dont bother calling Gateway. They said they wont help unless you have the os installed that came with the computer. I asked the lady why they sell 64bit computers but will only support 32bit? she just hung up on me. So like I said, dont bother gateway cuse they dont care

And the other major OEMs have similar policies. They support the computer as shipped. Anything else is not supported and totally up to the computer owner.
